Hastelloy C-276/UNS N10276
Hastelloy C-276 (Alloy C-276 / UNS N10276 / W.Nr. 2.4819) is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium-tungsten superalloy — the benchmark “universal corrosion alloy” for severe chemical, pharmaceutical, and pollution-control service. Its balanced chemistry delivers outstanding resistance across both oxidizing and reducing acid environments, mixed media, chloride-bearing solutions, and even wet chlorine gas — conditions that defeat most stainless steels and many other nickel alloys.
C-276 is the default specification when corrosion is the governing design factor and failure cost is high. Specified in chemical reactors, evaporators, FGD scrubbers, pulp & paper bleach plants, chlor-alkali units, pharmaceutical vessels, and marine service worldwide. Available in plate, sheet, strip, bar, rod, billet, wire, seamless/welded pipe & tube, fittings, flanges, and forgings.
